Art Authority Focuses on African-American Artists for Black History Month
Brings all 60 Jacob Lawrence Migration panels together in one place
Ashland OR – January 30, 2018 – Art Authority LLC and its 1000Museums brand today unveiled “Focus on African-American Artists” a website celebrating African-American art as part of February’s Black History Month. A highlight of the site at FocusOnAfricanAmericanArtists.

A number of 1000Museums partners have related African-American art exhibitions starting in February. These include “Soul of a Nation” at Crystal Bridges, “We Wanted a Revolution” at Albright-Knox, “Something to Say” at the McNay Museum, “History, Labor, Life: The Prints of Jacob Lawrence" at the Harn and “Faith Ringgold an American Artist" at the Crocker. The Migration panels themselves are split between MoMA in New York and the Phillips Collection in Washington DC.
